FAQs

What is a holistic health coach?

American Fitness Professionals & Associates defines it as “a trained professional who uses an integrative approach to both diet and lifestyle changes to improve their clients' health. Working as a guide toward an overall healthier life, they will look at their clients' nutrition patterns, relationships, physical fitness, spirituality, and more.”

Can’t I learn how to improve my health and well-being via YouTube videos?

You could try but those videos are not personalized and don’t offer accountability or support while holistic health coaching is and does. Another thing to take into consideration is the source of information. Anyone can make a YouTube video but to become a certified holistic health coach, training and passing exams are required.

When you hire a holistic health coach you take your journey to the next level. Everything is personalized. Think about it this way, if you wanted to learn how to play the piano, how to become a better singer, or how to become a better athlete, you’d hire a coach. That’s me for your health and well-being.

How does a health coach differ from a therapist?

Health coaching is meant to be short-term and is future-oriented. Goal setting, empowerment, and accountability are key elements in a coaching relationship and it is centered around creating diet and lifestyle changes to improve your health and well-being.

Therapy tends to be past and present focused with an emphasis on healing from the past. Therapy usually deals with clinical and mental health concerns.

Do you only take NY based clients?

I accept clients from all over the world. Currently, I hold all of my sessions via zoom or phone so there’s no need to be in NY. I also accommodate different time zones.

Do you take insurance?

Unfortunately, I do not. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to inquire if they will reimburse you for the coaching package you’d like to purchase.
